Thirsty to Change your Company’s Reputation? – Live Chat on 1/16

by Aleeka Kay Edwards on January 15, 2013

Tealet FounderNo one would have faulted Tealet.com if founder and food scientist Elyse Petersen had only marketed to women. Afterall, tea rooms are always feminized and, in the annals of media, women are the main promoters of the beverage. Most people know that the Duchess of Bedford was the originator of “afternoon tea” and if you believe all the canards about tea, you might even think it’s only an estrogen drink.

But Tealet.com is the perfect example of a business that has changed the reputation of its product. The company has provided an online space for farmers to post their stories about tea growing while consumers can browse, review, and purchase the teas. They’re also gearing up to launch a new service called Global Tea Taster, a bimonthly subscription service that will tell conscious consumers about production. Elyse is a former Peace Corps volunteer and a Global Tea Ambassador with the International Tea Farms Alliance. She’ll talk to you about making your product universal. Your business venture may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but join us as Elyse teaches you to make your product/company appealing to men and women, alike.

Join the chat by logging into Spreecast.com with your Facebook or Twitter account. You’ll be able to submit your questions and text chat with other viewers.

When: Wednesday, January 16, 2013
Time:  8-8:30 pm EST
